The Lucky Gulp
“The Lucky Gulp” is a visual identity design inspired by the concept of a restaurant that brings luck to people through food. I conceptualized, visualized and 3D-modeled a set of four-course meals, incorporating items believed to bring good fortune across different cultures, such as rabbit's foot, jade, clovers, acorns, and wishbones.
The logo design is inspired by Fulu, Taoist magic symbols and incantations, which are meant to drive away evil spirits or malevolent forces. I translated the style of Fulu into the font design of the English letters to mimic this aesthetic and convey the idea that, as you gulp down the food, all misfortune will be swallowed away.
